Is there such a thing as an "all aluminum" bike? I thought they were all alloys. Even a "titanium" bike has a good portion of aluminum, but for some reason is labelled as titanium rather than aluminum. Maybe 'aluminum' frames have become more comfortable over recent years, because maybe there's less aluminum actually in them?
By the way, my experience with carbon fiber echos a lot those of others I've known and read, and that is carbon fiber takes small road vibrations and mutes it more than other materials, but if you ride normal city streets like I do where the road imperfections are not small it actually transmits shock more than steel or especially titanium. Whereas Aluminium mutes nothing.
