Surgery
This is kind of an odd question, and I know it will ultimately be up to my Doctor. Has anyone had umbilical hernia surgery and gotten on the bike within a fairly short time afterward? I am doing my pre-op in a week and really hope I am not off the bike too terribly long.
Thanks,
Nathan S.

Doesn't sound like "serious" surgery so I'm guessing you will probably be back on the bike in 2 weeks or less, if you feel up to it.
After having daVinci prostate surgery in December 2015 I was ready to get back on the bike after a month. I only delayed it another month because I didn't have full bladder control.
