Why would the buyer worry about the seller's cost of doing business? I'm not sure what you are complaining about with the rest. Every business runs up against pricing pressures. If being a seller is too stressful, don't sell on ebay.

The same guy that started a thread titled "Why would one PAY to enter a cycling event?", because he thought it was too expensive, is now complaining that someone else is being a cheapskate. You can't make this stuff up.

He also said the owner of a bike shop he frequented had jealous lust for his bike, and that the LBS charged too much; his loyalty should be rewarded with lower prices.

I tried using the "best offer" function... got a price a whole 5% lower than the BIN. Ha! That's one soda you won't be drinking on my $1.50!

E-Bay's policy of no negative feedback from sellers against buyers is just plain odd, but it does protect the buyers somewhat from malicious sellers, of which there are a few, or negative repercussions for leaving truthful feedback.
I get that. If they want feedback from me, they can leave it first since I completed my end of the contract first. I don't care if I receive feedback or not, it is the seller that is concerned about their image.
