Procrastination is probably the worst thing about me.
Well, I have tried to prove that wrong by taking cycling again. Having enrolled in a long tour early in August, 650 km in 8 days, I had to do some training.
And I did. I took my bike out on April 13 for a very short run: 15 km. Since then, I ride as often as I can. I thought cycling was over for me due to some bad knee injury (partial tear of my left knee ligament 4 years ago). Well I'm proud to claim that I am a "born-again cyclist".
Two days ago I did my first 100 km ride of the year. And I also reached 1,000 km. I was ecstatic about it.
I can't wait to reach 2,000 km.
I have read so much about some of you guys doing centurys (160 km), that is my next goal.
I will probably have to improve my strength and endurance and/or change my fatty 38C tires for something smaller.
