Puncture resistant tyres
Hello i usually ride a cube ltd 29er but have a giant tcr 3 now as well. Want to use puncture resistant tyres instead the giant 700 25 sr4s that come on it. Was looking at Schwalbe Marathon Plus 700 25c but told wont fit as clearance tight on bike. Are the gatorskin ultras 700 23c much thinner?
Thanks

Have you looked at the Durano Plus?
I use Marathon Plus on my winter commuter (35c) and Durano Plus on my summer commuter (25c).
Ride and puncture resistance are great.

I've been using Gatorskins (700x25) for almost 5 years and have had only one flat in over 35,000 miles. I won't ride on anything else.

For the most part, we do. Many of those miles were done in a wilderness park/MUP that is 3 miles from my house. Where I live, there is only one road that goes by my subdivision, as well as the MUP. There isn't many places that I can go that I can jump on the bike and leave from the house. When I go to different places to ride, the roads have been well maintained. I do an annual MS150 that's held around the Orlando area and have yet to have a flat on any of the six times I've done that ride. I also do an annual 235 mile, Coast to Coast ride from Daytona Beach on the east coast to Tarpon Springs on the west coast. Haven't had any flats on that one either. So either the Gatorskins are bomb proof tires or I've just been lucky as hell.
