Those locks are really easy to pick. Try pulling on the cable so there is pressure pulling the lock apart. Spin the one of the end reels until you can feel the lock separate slightly. If you can't feel anything try the other end first. When you get each one right you should feel a slight give to the lock.

It was a slip of the calculator on my part
. However, I gave a bike to a friend, with this cable lock, and he actually did set down one evening and try all combinations until he found the one that worked! I asked him how long it took, and he said about 3 hours, so he must have gotten luckier than most.

Bolt cutters. If you don't own one, swing by your local fire department.
They'll cut it right off for you in two seconds.

Angle grinder? On a cable? I am taking it that these are suggested by people who've never had a cable wrap around a fast spinning grinder, ripping it out of their hands and scuffing the heck out of the bike.
I've been there and done that with similar materials. But, it'll get your heart rate up, fast, ha ha.

Watch the dang video. You can cut any cable with a pair of diagonal pliers .... basic, hand-held wire cutters. No special tools needed.

The local Fire Dept idea is pure genius. They'll probably enjoy it too!
For those who don't have a lot of tools, or don't have proper tool using skills, find a neighbor or relative. There is usually someone around with a SawzAll or other useful tool who will take care of it.

Why are people talking about angle grinders and SawZalls ... a simple pair of diagonal pliers will cut that cable easily.

Right. I forgot about the bottle of liquid nitrogen I always keep handy. How silly of me.

My mom's cockatoo loves combo locks; the bird could have that sucker open in under half an hour with no effort on your part.

More effective is the use of the modial interaction of magneto-reluctance and capacitive diractance integrated with pre-famulated amulite surmounted by a malleable logarithmic casing.
