Re-purposing old handlebars

With the addition of a sweet Fuji Opus III to the stable I had to finally do something I've been considering for awhile since I was running out of space in the Bike Cave.

So I took some of the small 38cm handlebars I've had set aside for awhile and made some hangers for a couple of the bikes.

Not the best of pics but shows how it turned out:

Neat! I really love that pink/white Giordana!
How did you attach the stems to the wall though?

Looks nice.

I've snagged a used bar that I discovered a crack in while getting ready to install it. It might make a good rack, but I'm thinking of using as part of a brake/derailleur pull test rig.... when I get around to making it.

I used a 3/4" pipe flange, 3/4" nipple and 3/4" bushing. Hung it to a stud with 2 screws and then just mounted the stem inside the bushing. The bars are just covered with a thick electrical tape to protect the bike's finish.

Having new rims laced to the Dura Ace hubs on this bike. Can't wait to get it back out again.

LOL, I ride them all. If you look closely in the original pic you see that the bar tape is really dirty on the bottom one and not pristine on the top. They get used.

It is pretty though, I do love how it looks and taking it out to show it off.

WOW! She looks perfect in that shot... Love the saddle & the dark wheels really set it off. I'd want to show it off as well! lol. Thats great though that its not just wall art.

I just put the white Selle Italia (LDY version) saddle on my pink bike last week. All great looking saddles. Really tied it all together on mine.

LOL, that's the Lady's Diva version with the pink on the back of saddle in the above pic.

I got it on another used bike I bought and had it on this one for awhile. It wasn't bad for rides of around 20 miles but was really too wide for me. I got the male version and then the giro d'italia to tie this together.

Lol i said the same about the LDY last week; too wide, but its still an improvement. Trying a Diva next...its has a nicer profile anyway. Well both saddles look great on yours (assuming the Giro's in the first pic)
