Ya, it's gonna be a problem. Should've bought the bike with rim brakes.

Do you use your brakes in the car? Brakes, tires etc. all wear.

On my commute I have a 1 mile hill at 12 degrees and my disc brakes are fine.

I am hoping this was a serious question....

The highest point in Ohio is just above 1500 feet or so, idn't it? You don't qualify for disc brakes. Return them.

Cheaper to replace a disc and a couple of pads than having to buy a new rim, have the wheel rebuilt and buying a couple of brake pads.
