I enjoyed her passion for cycling with well written prose and an eye for pictures that captured her intent. She really doesn't owe us a damn thing, but we do for her efforts that lasted longer than most. I wish her the best for her future endeavours. Maybe it wasn't meant to be a goodbye other than for now.

Sounds like she is ok, just took a break as she went through a life change. Glad to know she's happy with her life whatever she's up to.

And it confirms what a couple of us had suspected: that after a few years of trying out, reviewing, discussing various bikes and parts, she had figured out what she liked best, and what is there to talk about after that, except to rehash previous topics? Every so often I'll dig through old threads here and notice posters I haven't seen in a while, who presumably got tired of talking about bikes after a certain point. I've noticed myself hitting the same saturation point in other hobbies.

Very understandable, especially when life throws us knuckleballs.
I had an active blog with a small but enthusiastic readership for a few years, several years ago, and let it go dormant without notice when I felt I'd written all I had to say on the niche topic for which the blog was created. I always regarded it as a sort of magazine serial, not an indeterminate or lifetime commitment. When the issue played out, it seemed like the right time to stop writing about it.
Right now I'd rather spend my little free time riding than writing.

She's back again, BTW. As of January 3rd. Different, but still good.
