Just an update.... as suggested, I started reading The Time Crunched Cyclist. While reading the book, i noticed that there is a 4mo coaching deal on Strava through CTS. I signed up and now am working with a CTS coach who has been very good for me. He plans my structured rides via Training Peaks and offers not only training but nutrition suggestions which have worked well for me. We are in regular contact via email & text and talk on the phone ~1x per week. So, now I am doing interval work throughout the week and a long ride on the weekend. I feel that I am now making strides toward my goal of riding a Century in Feb. as well as continuing to lose weight.

Update: Rode in a supported metric century yesterday. Finished 66mi in approx 4h30min. It was brutally windy, but very well supported. I think I hit my max on that one, but still have about 15 weeks to train.
