Then again, do CF Bentleys assplode as much as CF bikes? And can I get one with rim brakes, or am I stuck with discs?

I was leafing through my free subscription to Road & Track magazine and noticed that every car pictured and every article written was about cars with disc brakes. That leads me to conclude that in 5 years, you won't be able to get a car with rim brakes, so you had better hurry.

Its OK, as long as I can still get one with a manual transmission, I'll just engine brake. Foot brakes are for those incapable of driving!

Hmmmm ... well, one certainly could trawl for trolls, if one were of a mind to do so.

How strong is the market for fresh troll these days, d'you think? Could be the foundation of a sound business plan.

Given the responses that ryanbent's post get, I'd say "trawling"...i.e. netting lots and lots of fish, much of which is not what you were after in the first place...is more apt than "trolling" where you are only going after one or two at a time.

Bikes: too many bikes from 1967 10s (5x2)Frejus to a Sumitomo Ti/Chorus aluminum 10s (10x2), plus one non-susp mtn bike I use as my commuter

I notice that the OP puts up a decent number of these kinds of self validating posts.

I wonder how his shoulder is holding up.

Why is that, was the OP banned from posting in the helmet thread? I've not looked there for quite a while...

So, I suppose when my fiancee accuses me of having a horrid memory (she's actually not wrong on that), I can point her at all these threads and say "see, I'm not so bad"?

I'd be careful with that .... she might think, "Oh no, this is what cyclists tun into? I'm outta here!"

Bikes: RANS Stratus TerraTrike Tour II

This thread is just a reminder that there are newer more modern bikes and trikes that move beyond the DF bike that was invented in 1890 or thereabouts. People shouldnt be hidbound at defending what is pretty much an antique, with probably the exception of mountain bikes. People should not use something that can damage them physically. I would point out that the threads I post on this subject is no where near the number that are posted on how DF seats hurt or has caused physical damage.

Actually this, and all the others in your series of re-re-etc-repeat threads, come across as self-congratulatory sermons on the delusion that your Way of the 'Bent is the only way to enjoy riding a bicycle and all others are a heretical abomination of Diamond Frames, Kit, Training Programs, Hard Efforts, Long Miles, Rim Brakes and the wrong headed century old traditions of Cycling as a sport.

As always, suit yourself.
(I know, it's just Crazy Talk that bicycles are used for a variety of different purposes quite different than one's own without financial ruin, physical damage or deep unhappiness.)
