Winter tyres .... what will you be using?
Ok .... I'll start:
for my 'fast bike' .... Giant TCR - tyres: 2017 IRC Formula Pro RBCC tubeless road tyres (25mm) which will be fitted on Hed Belgium Plus rims
daily commuter ... Vittoria Pave CG Open Clincher (25mm)... for my Koga Miyata Full Pro
both sets have been bought, and awaiting delivery .... I really struggled to choose and spent a long time researching .... I wanted something different from last year

I ride MTB, so my choices are a bit different, obviously. From about the first forecast of snow until near Xmas (based on past experience), I'll run DMR Redshift 26x2.25. Aggressive tread, eats snow up to 2" deep. Once the ice and nastier conditions set in, it's Schwalbe Ice Spikers or the city bus. (Usually not more than 10-12 days)

On the road bike, I'll probably switch from the 700x23 Schwalbe One slicks to a set of Vittoria Zaffiros I already have in the closet, or maybe an older style Rubino being discounted by various sites. Probably go with 700x25 for winter. Main problem with the Schwalbe Ones is skidding during hard braking, even on dry roads -- great tires otherwise.
Nothing different on the hybrids, they already have good all terrain/weather tires.

My winter bike still has the pair of Tannus solid tires on it that I mounted a couple of years ago. The rear wheel shows some serious wear, as well as some deep cuts in the tread, buy otherwise is good. The front only has light wear, but also multiple deep cuts.
I hate fixing flats in the dark, winter.

Schwalbe winters - the 2 row of studs variety, in 700x35.
I also run some schwalbe cx pro in 700x30 sometimes, I don't know if I am going to run a second winter bike this year. They were on a single speed with drum brake on the front last year.

This will be my third winter with my first pair of studded snow tires, Suomi Nokian W-106 26x1.9. I haven't ridden any others but I'm happy with these. I just have to remember to inflate them at 60psi for dry pavement and 30psi for snow and ice. And 25psi was too low and slowed me down too much.

What I normally use, unless we have Snowmageddon Part Two...first year since I was 9 that I couldn't ride in snow even...it truly sucked.

I'll be back to my Nokian Extremes for winter. There is no such thing as a fast winter bike in western Wisconsin - those puppies go in the basement!
For spring/fall, I'm thinking about swapping out my GP4000S II 23s with 28s. It might be a bit better for the sand and sludge.

On my road bike I have a GP 4Season 25mm upfront, good to see others recommending this. Think it's worth swapping the rear 25mm gatorskin to a 4season?
Do you guys worry about frost? What temperatures are we talking? I'm in the middle of Iowa here and it won't be long till the temps hit sub freezing.
Once we have snow I'll be using the Continental cross kings 2.2x29 on my hard tail 29er. Love that black chili compound!

I don't know. My good bike (Giant ATX lite) has 27.5 x 1.95. My junk bike has 26 x 1.95 tires. Most of the tires I find are at least 2.1 and many of them are 2.25. Not sure about if they would fit or not. It's actually frustrating because I want to build a single speed 27.5 or 29 er winter bike and everything has had 1.95 width. Then I look for studded tires and they are all 2.25 tires. Sounds like I could get a pair for the mtb but I just don't feel the same about it any more.
