Bikes: Velo Orange Piolet

She melted down her bikes and made knitting needles out of them.

Yes, she has moved onto other interests, and I believe is caring for a parent.

Her new blog is quite active (although not quite as interesting to me). My guess is her business related knitting blog takes precedence over her bicycling hobby blog. It would be difficult to keep up 2 quality blogs.

Bikes: Imremo (cheap taiwanese mtb) and vintage Jupiter King (Japanese '70s road bike)

Lovely Bicycle is one of the best written bike blogs. And her photography is concours-worthy as well.

I liked the pictures, too, and her reviews were good as well. I think it was on her blog where she got a vintage racing bike (that in fact was too big for her) - I think it was a Basso or some such bike - that she said she really liked how it felt, but she couldn't deal with the low bottom bracket height because she would scrape her pedals going around corners so she had 28mm tires installed on it to try to get more ground clearance. I felt like writing her and asking if she had tried not pedaling going around corners like racers do and keeping the pedal up on the side of the bike of the direction she is turning.

It was a Moser that she had converted to fixed gear, but turned out to be unsuitable due to the low bottom bracket and pedal strike problems.
