ProMax IG-45 Headset - Experience

Anyone have any experience with ProMax Headsets - I am looking at a build on a Fairdale Goodship road frame and was looking at the Promax Ig-45 Integrated headset. It appears to meed the specs I need.

Anyone have any experience?

Only if it were an OEM pick, Promax is selected to keep the price down , but I assume you want to spend very little, as well.

If it fits use it or don't.. at worst it wont last long , but by then you will buy a different bike .. never heard of the bike brand either..

Use it.

They started as a BMX components brand IIRC, now they sell a bunch of stuff and are QBP distributed. Their ano finishes are pretty nice as well.

I've been taking a second look at Promax lately. I've two of their color-anodized seatposts now, and couldn't be happier.

Bikes: Foundry Chilkoot Ti W/Ultegra Di2, Salsa Timberjack Ti, Cinelli Mash Work RandoCross Fun Time Machine, 1x9 XT Parts Hybrid, Co-Motion Cascadia, Specialized Langster, Phil Wood Apple VeloXS Frame (w/DA 7400), R+M Supercharger2 Rohloff, Habanero Ti 26

When it comes to headsets I will stick with Cane Creek or Chris King. If it doesn't have a C in it, just pass.

Nothing major against Promax I did buy a seat post collar they made because of the color and it has been functional. I see a lot more Promax stuff being spec'd on low end bikes these days and that never fills me with confidence.
