Buying bike for Camino tour

Hello cyclers,

I'd like to ask you for advice which bike to buy for Camino de Santiago tour (800 km). Would something like Giant Roam 1/2/3 Disc 2017 be OK, or should I look for something else. I like them because they are dirt cheap right now (400-600 €).

Thanks for advice...

Its cheap, get it. beats walking it, , but many do.. how far away are you starting ?

there is an Abby in Moray, Scotland that is on one of the pilgrimage paths that end there.

I'm starting in French Saint Jean pied de port and hopefully finishing it in Muxia. I can't wait What about tyres... Would something like Continental CONTACT Travel be OK?

The Continental Top Contact II is a better tire. It's all I tour on. This is the one I am talking about:

The regular Contact is not as good.

But are they like Continental Touring tires that take 4 tire levers and a gorilla to mount or unmount on wheels?
