I'm depressed
 

Two weeks from spring and we're getting a foot of snow .... I'm so depressed:foo:

You have to look at the bright side of life. I'll let you know what that is once I figure it out. :foo:

Lebanon, CT here. Cycling life sucks today.

Last winter the snow got me so depressed that the only reason I survived was because my car was stuck in the driveway so I couldn't get to the bridge to jump. I could have taken a bus I guess but it's like a two hour ride to get to the nice bridge. Might get myself a fat bike for next winter.

Time to go out and buy that FAT bike you've been dreaming about?

Winchendon, Massachusetts and 12+ inches projected just the day after enjoying a road bike ride. But the best thing I have done to beat winter was get a fat bike and a 29 plus bike to play out in the snow.

On the bright side the snow doesn't always last to long this time of year.

I'm depressed thinking about you guys being depressed.

A good 40 mile ride tonight should cheer me up though.

Its only for 2 days by Sunday should be able to ride.at least bt the gwb in the NYC area they keep 9w pretty clean after a storm just sucks. To ride after cleaning the bikes all up should of left one dirty

Where the shade has kept the ground cold, I got 4 inches of snow last night. Elsewhere, most of it melted on contact. That is NOT the final big storm that I always expect for March.

Outside my house this afternoon when it was snowing 2"/hr. So I made linguini and clams to cheer me up.

As soon as I opened the thread I knew I'd get even more depressed with a response like this from the South ... I should have posted on the Northeast Region forum:winter:

On the other hand, N+1 does lead to the inevitable conclusion that a fat bike is in order, right after the gravel bike ..... fortunately, my marriage is solid so I'm a ways off from S-1. :winter2:

If the snow is as deep as you-all are complaining about, get some cross country skis for wintertime fun.:thumb:

Cheer up it should not last that long. In the mean time, Zwift, fatbike, snowshoe, cross country ski. Great time to go skiing if you ski. Just remember in a few months the posts will turn to “its to hot to ride”.

Hey, it was cold tonight. 37° F at the end of my ride. Atlanta isn't the tropics.

No snow however. That makes all the difference.

I can tell you my cars will start at minus 34 degrees Fahrenheit. That's ambient temperature, not wind chill.

Omaha, Nebraska, we are expecting temps around 50 for Friday with light winds, it was cold today and we had an inch of snow the other day.

I can tell you that at minus 30 F the gas struts that hold up your Subaru wagon tail gate fail. It then comes down on your head.
