SRAM EAGLE gearing: 30T vs 32T for XC 29er?
I was about to go for a Shimano 2x system, but a salesman in a bike shop convinced me to buy a 1x 10-50 EAGLE system. A new bike I am considering is equipped with a 32T crankset. I am thinking about replacing the crank with a 30T crank since I like steep climbing. My riding is primary off-roading in both mountains and on flat terrains. I have been using gear calculator extensively, but that is just theory. The practical question is: 30T vs 32T?

32x50 is around 18 gear inches - that's very low. I'd keep the stock 32t chainring to start out. I doubt you'll need a lower gear, but if you find that you do it's easy to change the chainring.

Q: Math.. 1/2" pitch chain divides the cog circumference into 1/2" increments, "teeth", if the circle is 1" smaller around .
What is the radius difference?

I don't know what you need for mountain biking, never did mountain biking, pretty much only road biking.
Off road is for yamaha 250's and such. The differences in speed are minimal. Likely the perceived effort is minimal too.
I can't imagine ever needing the 50 gear on a 32 chainring. I'd be asking if I could go bigger on the front instead of smaller.
Riding it as purchased for a while and seeing what it does and doesn't do seems the better route to go instead of changing it immediately after purchase.

Go with the 30t. The 30-10 is plenty of high gear and you'll appreciate all the low you can get. I have a Shimano 34t ring and 11-40, and will be purchasing a 30t ring if I have a long day of single track. I hardly use my 34-11, and your 32-10 is higher. A 30-10 is the perfect top gear for 29er mtb IMO.

Seen a revue of the Efneo GTRO ? Review: Efneo GTRO 3-speed front gearbox | road.cc
its a 28t .. until you need higher, then there are 2 planetary overdrive gears, as if a 40 & 50t ,
because the crank is not directly attached to the chainring
but thru the gears , so chainring turns faster than the crankarms.. It is a Square taper BB type ..
