Dayum, Doc. Those are oars, not shoes. Those are for paddling, not pedaling.

This is a pretty funny thread. Useless, but funny. As for cycling wear, I don’t get to choose. My wife looks at what I’m wearing, and if it’s not bright enough for someone to spot me at the bottom of a 30 foot ravine, she makes me change into something more obtrusive. Seems to work!

I miss the good ol' days when men were men and wore respectable, dignified cycling apparel...

...like pink...

...or polka dots.

People here have posted Greg Lemond in the iconic La Vie Claire jersey and Eddy Merckx in the Maglia Rosa as evidence of old school "bad taste."

Meanwhile others seems to have un-ironically suggested Primal Wear. (Maybe I misunderstood that one).

Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and ignore the fashion advice in this thread.

I do care. You gotta care about how you look on the bike. I spend a good amount of time riding. I want people to stop and turn as I ride my bike by them and say, "that guy looks good". I take suntan rides. Long slow rides at midday to catch some rays. Don't want to have pastey white legs. I'm so vain and enjoy it. I have no desire to ride like Eddy...I just want to look like Eddy. Great pic above.

I kind of like how the cycling costume looks in the mirror. Except for the mis-paired shoes I wore one day, but honestly I couldn't see those in the mirror.
