How come hardly any bikes posted here have pumps?

A pump, spare tube and small patch kit are mandatory on all my bikes. Never leave home without them.

I have one in my pannier. And a patch kit. Removing a wheel is a nightmare so i just pull the tube out and patch it in situ, on the rare occasions my puncture-resistant tyres fail.

I've had a a couple stolen when my back was turned, so I stopped keeping them on the frame. No one thinks of stealing the bottle tool kit.

Because most bikes don't have a pump peg anymore. So you have to either strap one down or get a clamp on mount, and most will only work on round, small diameter steel tubes. Or if you have a funky shaped frame then it looks corny like this:

My mini frame pump is in my seat bag, which also has a spare tube and patch kit (mandatory here in Goathead County, USA) allen wrenches, and also securely holds a 3rd water bottle in the netting. These new style bags are great, I have 3 of them. Highly highly recommended.

Pump, 2 spare tubes, and a patch kit. That goes whether it is the road bike, commuter or the cruiser. I have had 3 flats in one outing (60 miles) before, I take no chances. Plus my cousin married a Murphy. (Murphy’s Law)

L - R, the first two share a frame pump, the next two share a mini pump that I keep in the saddle bag.
Generally when I post a pic of my bikes I leave the pumps, cages, bags, etc off. But riding I've got to have them.

The pump goes *inside* the frame of my avatar bike; so it never shows. Here's my highracer. Notice the pump on the far side of the water bottle.

Even though I carry C02,I always carry a mini pump, mounted on my downtube water bottle cage.
Thankfully I haven't had to pump to full capacity in years. But I use it every single time I flat, just to put in the first 10 or 20 psi.

I usually just use C02.
I'll take a mini pump on longer solo rides, but I carry it in a jersey pocket or handlebar bag. Pumping road tires with a mini pump is not fun, but it'll do in a worst case scenario.

I always carry a full size frame pump on all of my bikes except for the two with number tabs in the way. Those bikes happen to see longer rides where I need both bottle cages or I'd leave one off and still carry a pump. I have to risk it with just a CO2 pump and a couple of cartridges.
But otherwise, you better believe I'm rocking a frame pump.
Etc, etc, etc.....

I don't ever ride without bottle cages, but I prefer riding a bike unadorned with accessories.
I'll run a blinky and headlight clipped on my seatpost and bars occasionally, but the world's lightest pump lives in my pocket, rubber-banded to my spare tube as ballast to keep it from flying out.
A pocket tool or two also predictably fits in my jersey pockets as intended, these can be quite small and light!
Here's what fits in my three pockets, with room to spare. Even my windbreaker fits in. The keychain is as light as it looks, and that little cable retainer tab thing on it doubles as a screwdriver for the limit screws on most derailers.
I think the bikes look better pro-style, with nothing added that can loosen, rattle, fall out or fall off!

Triangle bag under the top bar at the front, which carries my tool kit. 2X CO2 bottles, 1X CO2 head, tire levers, swiss-army-like bicycle-oriented multi-tool, spoke wrench. On top of that it carries electrolyte tablets, my phone, keys, a spare tube and, yes, a pump... The smallest one I could find that had a flexible hose portion... When you're madly jamming away on the tiny pumps, you don't want to be transferring every stroke to the valve stem. All of that fits so well the bag doesn't bulge into view past the sides of the top tube when i'm riding, and it gets the weight further forward.

I call AAA. I am joking but before I left AAA, on my premium membership they offered service to cyclists. I was so unhappy with their automobile service, and I had them for 30 plus years, that I left.
I can only imagine that if you called them to come fix a flat tire or repair a bike that eventually someone would find your skeleton next to your bicycle.
anyway I carry a bicycle pump on each and every bike I own and no they're not fancy. they're just something I pick up at Walmart or Meijer. Schwinn or Bell branded they get the job done!

In the US, I can't carry one that is accessible to thieves so it is always in my handlebar bag that unclips easily to carry. Need that also 'cause I can't leave a small seat bag on the bike 'cause it will be stolen too. I bought a small Lezyne pump and use Schwalbe Marathons that average a flat every 1.5 years. the new ones perhaps never. Anyway, even when travelling in more civilized countries I keep the pump in the bag so I don't knock it loose when riding or carrying the bike through rough stuff....I should sell my old Silca pumps.....
