I need help choosing a bicycle. QUESTION
I want a bicycle that I can do skids with. Im looking at a 700c Kent Mens RoadTech Roadbike but Im not sure if a fixed gear bicycle is required for doing skids. I understand it's alot easier to do skids with a fixed gear bicycle, but can I do this with a 21 speed? One more question I have is how long will a tire last if I do around 10 skids a day?

Any and all bikes where you can make the (rear) wheel stop turning while the bicycle is moving can skid.
Since skidding is generally a rather sucky way of slowing down (wear tires fast, gives long braking distances, offers poor control) about the only ones who regularly use it past childhood are those who don’t have any other choice - like brakeless fixie riders.
You understand wrong. The above all easiest bikes to skid with are the ones with decent reat brakes.
Any and all bikes with decent rear brakes can skid.
No way to tell. Most likely longer if you skid with brakes than by back-pressure, since it’ll spread the skid patches around the tire more.

Cheap tires make nice big skid marks, but then they don’t last long. Durable, expensive tires last longer (Specialized Nimbus) but won’t leave those nice charcoal looking patches.

You don't need a BMX to do skids with. And you don't need to do skids on a BMX. But it helps. Just try to have some fun, and don't worry about the life schedulers. And whatever you do, don't be one.

Just to let everyone know, figure skidding WILL DEFINITELY be an event in the 2020 Olympics. Right next to forum trolling.

Coaster brake. Stomp back on that thing and it locks up instantly. Just be sure to carry a road-rash repair kit.

I find not wiping my bottom after dropping the kids off at the pool tends to give the best skids but I stop doing that when I was a small child. Wiping or removing the detritus some how is the better way though, dirty undies are no fun and neither is the chaffing and rashes that could develop.
