Jenson has something I want. I ordered it and then had them cancel the order due to it not being in stock and not having any idea when it would be in stock. I just checked the website and it says the item will be available on 1/25/2019. It's still the same price as when I ordered it.
My question is this: How long does Jenson usually honor their discount codes. The item has a 15% off code right now.
Trying to decide if I should just order it and wait or if I should wait to see if it's actually in stock on that date? Just don't want to miss the extra 15% off code.'
Never bought from them, anyone have any experience?

Order it now and use the discount code. Jenson USA is a decent business with fair pricing.
Now that Chain Reaction no longer sells Shimano components to the U.S. and Performace Bike & Nashbar are going tits up, Jenson USA has become one of the better places for bargains.

Yea, this item sells for about $140 everywhere to include Ebay but they have it after the code savings for about $105. That's a deal fo' show.

They're a good bunch. Ordered a bunch of stuff from them over the years.
Usually discount codes have a date on them when they go belly up.

What is the item?
Maybe someone can come up with an alternative source.

I've placed orders with them, good outfit, fast shipping, no problems. One of my orders last month was several items, including brake rotors. They were supposed to be available on 12/11, I was ordering on 12/5. Everything else in the order shipped 12/5. The brake rotors did not ship until 12/14, I received them 12/15. I didn't get an email on the delay, but I also didn't check my order status online during that time, as it wasn't that urgent. No complaints here.

They're a solid vendor. Their Corona shop is just a few miles from my house, so I often order stuff online and just pick it up at their store.

Since Niagara has closed, I have been trying out other online vendors. Jenson was one of them for my most recent purchase. Their prices on the Shimano stuff was only marginally above ChainReaction, so I would have gladly ordered from them. The bigger problem is that of the 5 items (4 were Shimano) that I purchased from ChainReaction, only 2 of them were listed by Jenson. I've run into this before where items available in Europe were not available to US dealers, whether this was because QBP, UBS, etc. just did not stock or because the manufacturer had some restriction.

I hadn't known this. Interestingly enough, I placed an order with them on 12/30 for a number of Shimano items, which I expect to arrive today. A check of their website shows that as of 1/1/2019, they no longer display any Shimano items if you select USA as your location. Set it to the UK and the items then appear.

In the time it took you to compose the OP and read the responses, you likely could have called, explained your particular situation and gotten a tailored response.

Universal Cycles. Decent prices, great service, fast shipping. They always seem to have a discount code at the top of their homepage. I use them for things my LBS doesn’t cover. Jensen is good too. Their prices are not always the best, but the selection and service are good. I like the way the Jenson site is designed — it’s easy to navigate and the filters are mostly functional.

edit: OUCH! Universal wants $190 for it. No, thanks.

Half of calls to cell phones this year are expected to be automatic sales calls.
Between the total hijacking of cell calls for the purpose of scams/sales and the rise of texting over the last decade, an entire generation of people flat out dont like calling others. Its more comfortable to text/email.
I see it at my work all the time with a lot of the younger co-workers who are only a few years removed from college or younger.
No idea if this applies to the OP and it isnt a judgement, simply an observation. My nieces and oldest daughter as well as their friends all have a strong aversion to calling.

I get that. But when you want to know something as specific as how long Jenson USA honors their discount codes, asking in a bicycling forum seems like a mighty unreliable way to get an answer. The Jenson website clearly lists a toll-free customer service number for stuff like this.

I am surprised I don't see threads on here asking what the weather forecast is for the next 5 days.

Wow.....ok, I get it. It's better to be an observer here than a participant. Once again, I apologize if I wasted anyone's time trying to ask a question. Lesson learned.
For those that provide constructive replies, thank you.
BTW.....anyone know the forecast for the weekend?
