Why does Chris L keep crashing?

Chris L has now had six crashes in the last year, at the following locations:

Brays Creek
Spicer's Gap
Surfers Paradise
Coolangatta (that was a bad one)
Mt Cainbable
Kirra (this morning)

All of these were totally self-inflicted. This morning's effort was particularly stupid. Chris L failed to unclip from the pedals properly when stopping at a red light. Chris L also did this too close to a gutter with predictable results. Chris L was unharmed... this time. So what is the problem here?

I think it's the lack of moisture. It has caused Chris L's brain, (ie, sense of balance etc.), to become severely unstable. Once the rains begin in earnest I think Chris L will once again become a respectable cyclist and return to his previous good cycling abilities.

Over-confidence. His cycling skills have developed to such a level that Chris L now believes he is invincible. He clearly is not.

To overcome this problem he needs to recite the following in front of a mirror 10 times before each ride.

"I'm damn good - but I'm not perfect."

(Either that or he's just being clumsy and careless.)

Chris,

I don't know why you crashed six bloody times!

Try to be more careful.

Perhaps Chris L's training wheels are out of calibration?

His handsome good looks are causing unexpected magnetic effects toward distant ladies, perhaps...?

The key is to ride when no one's watching, maybe in the middle of the night. These things don't usually happen unless there's someone around to laugh.

Like in the movie "Groundhog Day", you have to keep doing it until you get it right. Or, to paraphrase the Blue Diamond Almond commercial, "a prang a day is all we ask."

Can MechBgon seriously look at Chris L's picture and make this claim?

It's because he's a muppet! (Or fool/idiot/prat/ etc.)

Never mind ChrisL, I'm sure you'll sort it soon. Or else...

Ummm, that would be two bikes. Chris L made a purchase on April 27.

Perhaps the new bike was the "Maquis de Sade" special edition...?

He's riding upside down, down there in the "Down Under" isn't he?

Yeah, that's Chris L's problem. Chris L keeps falling off the world itself, not the bike.

[edit]Could it be that lack of vigilance is Chris L's problem. Chris L almost lapsed back into first-person for this post!

Bikes: Schwinn's: World Voyager, Tempo, 754, 594, 2 Travelers, Mesa Runner, and a few cheepies.

Maybe this 3rd person thing has gone so far he forgets to keep track of what Chris L is doing?
Now if it was me an atractive female would be the distracting cause.

Rural Roadie should then try to understand Chris L's predicament. Chris L has to cope with both of the abovementioned problems (something to do with a commute next to the beach in place without a winter).
