I'd love to get an aero bike, but my sensible and frugal self is telling me not to. So instead I'm going to give myself the gift of better fitness by riding more hills. Come to think of it, that's not much of a gift.

Don't need or want one, but I will probably put some money into my LHT over the winter. New brake pads and possibly new bar ends. Definitely needs new bar tape.

I picked up a 19 Spec Roubaix Comp DI2 over the weekend. Not because of the season; it just happened to be when I got a large bonus. Unfortunately the weather has been crap so no significant rides yet.

My riding buddies are all on Zwift and doing a ton of training, so if I don't to get dropped come spring, I've got to continue riding throughout winter. So, yeah, I resolve to do that.

I've been eyeing new road bikes, but...I'm trying really hard to hold off on until my next 'milestone birthday', which is now just a year and a half away!

The single speed *really* needs new brake pads, so that will be my treat. Not so exciting, I know.

My cup runneth over.
Actually, it's the time of year to emphasize wrenching.
Two project bikes to build up.
Half dozen wheelsets to re-grease.
New cloth for the handlebars.

Anytime is the best time to buy a classic bike..

Negative Ghostrider! I don't think Christmas is the best time to get the "new" bike. That is more a seasonal thing to happen in the warm months. Oh I know some will get a new bike but I favor Christmas season to get upgrades to wrench in my shop for the coming riding season. I used this November and December to upgrade my 2012 Trek Madone from Apex to Force and Red componentry and a new set of Fulcrum racing 4 wheels and the latest Conti road tires. Can't wait to now put it to the pavement.

But to those who did get a "brand new" bike...….congrats and ride it like you stole it!
