Cable housing size question

I think I know the answer to this but I wanted to get confirmation.

I have a gravel bike with Sora and mechanical discs. I want to upgrade it to 105 and hydraulic discs. Are the housings for the mechanical discs and hoses for hydraulics the same size? I have internal routing and want to make sure I'm not going to run into any problems.

A quick google search shows that 5mm is a common hydraulic hose diameter, which is the same as most brake cable housing.

Thanks. That's what I found too but my luck is that there is always something weird that pops up when I'm trying to do something like this.
