Newbie help
Hoping for some help I am in the process of replacing my sons rear freewheel axle which has snapped right by one of the cone nuts .
I bough a new kit and replaced it coping the original spacing but the tyre now rubs the frame on the drive side . I suspect I have done something really stupid in rebuilding but I can’t figure it out some advice would be much appreciated .
thanks
simon

Nutted axle?
There's a trick to tightening those. You want to tighten the non-drive side halfway first just to hold the front-to-back position. Then tighten the hell out of the drive side. Finally finish tightening the non-drive side. Otherwise the whole wheel assembly tends to walk forward as you tighten the drive side and that makes the wheel rub.
