Rare Bottom Bracket query
I have a Daniel Salmon frame no 687 made for a G or C ( could be either ) Darnault. The handlebar stem is engraved with both names. Very pretty bike. It has a triple chain set and I am searching for 115mm J.I.S square taper bottom bracket as the chain set is sticking out too far and off setting the pedals and chain. I have an Ultra 6 block. I have just purchased a 122mm but I think the 115 would be better. Just working out the chain line to be sure. Any advice would be heartedly appreciated. THANKS Kate

Is your spindle asymmetric? Sometimes I've improved a chainline by reversing an asymetric spindle and havingthe long side on the left side instead of the right side.

French being the abandoned standard BB thread , look for spindles* keep the cups, (if races not damaged)..
* there you can try a few different lengths to get the chainline, for not much money..
