Yeah it is pretty nuts I mean how do you not have at least 10?

I mean there is a touring bike missing, a gravel bike, who knows what kind of mountain bike so you might need something else, some vintage bikes in the equation certainly need some steel and ti bikes, no fixed gears or singles speeds (except possibly a cruiser but nothing of performance orientation), I mean come on!

it's not nuts if you've got a roadie, a mtb, a gravel bike, a fixie or cruiser or foldie or whathaveyou. what's nuts is having 4 road bikes with very little versatility...guilty.

Gravel, road, vintage, and mountain.

Now to get a modern gravel and convert mine into a tourer or commuter. Then my wife has 2 more, needs a third. Got two kids, they'll be old enough to ride soon.

I don't mind the bikes. When we were up to 4 strollers and a Burley trailer, the garage felt small.

Darn right it's nuts. You have NO Sturmey Archer hub. Preferably a RD5w. I rode mine 106.5 miles last Monday.
Easy as pie. And it's 78 lbs, LOL.

It's only nuts if your garage still has space to fit more.

Perfectly normal and room for more.

In order of arrival, mine are:
1999 Trek 26" MTB hardtail
2019 KTM Kapoho 29er E-MTB full suspension
2019 KTM Scarp Sonic 29er MTB full suspension
2019 Wilier Zero.6 Road bike
2020 Trek Madone SLR road bike

Who knows what next year will bring?

Absolutely NOT! 4 bikes is well within reason. 6, however, would be INSANE!

I have 5.

Road, Mountain, Gravel, Single Speed...considering a Fat Bike (largely because I have no intention of going back in a gym this winter).

If having four bikes is nuts, I guess I'm 25% beyond nuts.

Bicycles are "tool", so no more than having 4 torque wrenches.
