Year Model Made

Good day,

Like to know the exact year when the Mavic GP4s were manufactured. Looked it up, but can't seem to find anything in the net. TIA!

I have seen this version of GP4 tubular rims in a 1990/1991 Mavic Catalogue. There were earlier versions with a red Mavis label in a 1984/1985 catalogue.

Also, In th, Excel Sports catalogues offered the GP4, by the 1999 season the rim was no longer available.

1998 Excel Sports .

i was a big fan of MA40, and eventually Open Pro CD. When you posted, I was curious, why I didn’t recognize GP4. I guess I was used to Reflex, and mainly I only have a single token tubular wheel set.

User T-Mar in the Classic & Vintage forum can tell you the years, months, and days they were made.

Thanks for this reference. Yeah, they say that it can deal with any road condition...so the rim is a real bombshell. And one of the most commonly used for both amature and and pro for training at that time.
