From the tone of your OP, I'm guessing wearing them backwards is not an option. You might get a magic marker the same color as the bibs and color the underlying skin to match.

They're worn out. The butt crack area is the almost always the first to go. Just toss them. Or, you can always wear compression shorts underneath them.

Just curious on which Pactimo bibs you are using. I have a couple pair of their higher end bibs (summit 12 hour) and have not had that problem, or at least no one has mentioned it.

Fair enough. Time to check out offerings from different cycling apparel folks like Voler, Giordana, Castelli, Assos, etc...
Anybody out there like to ride the bib knickers? What is a favorite brand for you? Aerotech Designs are Made in The USA. Mine have been obnoxiously durable. It's the only brand I'll ever buy again. https://www.aerotechdesigns.com/bib-shorts.html |
Paint brush + Plasti Dip ?

I have come to the conclusion that I am hard on bibshorts and wear them out prematurely. Has anyone come across a material/brand in the $100 range that offers good compression, has an endurance type chamois and wears exceedingly well as far as abrasion and wear patterns in the seat?
I am liking the Black Bibs Elite so far and will see if they last the test of time. I own three pairs so they will be rotated once per week. |

That exact same spot has worn out first on a Voler, Castelli, and Rapha after two season's use. A Pearl Isumi made it a couple more years before a similar fate. Meanwhile I have four Blackbottom bibs that have made it 12 years without wearing out. More expensive bibs do not wear longer.

just keep em, they will let the gas out quicker resulting in more propulsion.
or sell them to somebody at the strip club or the local see through local expresso stand. or find a small piece of similar material and sew it over the offending area. this is commonly know as a patch job. you might try switching from whey isolate to plant protein , or low fiber bananas, geez, what year is this forum software? 1856 or 1857? Cobol or Fortran? i got a 386 C prompt box with 100 MB hard drive running on DOS 3.2 and it runs faster than this, you would think with all the people and all the ads, jus sayin....WTF? check out ken Shapiro in the 83 olympics road race> https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...bb9aa35ec5.jpg |
All these posts and nobody's asked for pictures?
There's a message there. (i) we don't want to see (ii) toss the bibs. good article from cx magazine.. though it's a bit old. From 2014. April 1, 2014, to be exact... cheers -mathias |
nothing to be ashamed of, Michael Angelo is a hall of fame artist and all he did was butt cracks.
