Soma Champs Elysees Mini fit on Surly Disc Trucker?

Does anyone know if the Soma Champs Elysees Mini Front Rack fits on the Surly Disc Trucker (2020 model)? Specifically, are the arms the right length for the Trucker's fork bosses? Has anyone done this?

Thanks!

I don't know but I would say potentially maybe. You probably want the Nitto M18 rack which has adjustable stays.

Ok good call, thanks veganbikes. The Soma is is $30-40 cheaper, so I'm hoping I can go with it! I wrote to Soma to ask, and will maybe write to Surly too. I'll report back here whatever I find out!

Quite possibly cheaper but Nitto makes a fine rack that won't let ya down. Soma is good stuff but the adjustability and Nitto quality is I think most practical in the end so you can get the correct fit on any bike that can take the rack.

That's a very good call! I haven't been thinking about its transferability to any other bike...

I am always cautious on that one granted I am really terrible about selling bikes and don't often change them much but it is always good to have some interchangeability in certain aspects.

So I spoke to someone yesterday with the Soma Champs Elysees Mini Front Rack who measured the distance from the fork crown attachment to the ends of the legs (where they attach to the mid-fork eyelets) and he told me it was about 6". When I measured the distance on the Surly Disc Trucker's fork, I found it was 8" -- much too far down to possibly work. So, I have my answer! The Soma Champs Elysees Mini DOES NOT fit on the Surly Disc Trucker. So, I guess it's time to put through an order for the Nitto M18...
