So reading this entire thread, impressive novel VintageSchwinn, it would seem to me, that the cheap entity rides the 25 dollar bike, whilst the frugal one rides the 15 year old, 1000 dollar bike.
Thanks to Indyfabz for the cheap vs frugal posting.
Guess Im really frugal, my newest ride is a 30 year old 2000 dollar bike
Unlike the OP, I will post a pic of mine.

Yep, probably a real surprise coming from a bunch of "corksniffers."

Cheaper than me, lol? I dont now, but I did google the bike, and it looks nice. I just would prefer an XL frame, and disc brakes upon it.

A little sandpaper or a bit of toe in usually stops the squeal. Clean the rims or even a little steel wool or fine sandpaper on 'em does wonders. Usually the squeal goes away after some use though. Sometimes the calipers get a little tweaked over time and if the pads aren't adjustable a little "tweaking" with a adjustable wrench will do the trick. I can lay hands on a quality vintage bike that needs lubrication and tlc for cheap that can give all the enjoyment I'll ever need. Turns out they made pretty nice bikes for the last 30 or 40 years.
