Did the same ride today running the same app but in map view. Used 30% less battery compared to running in satellite view.

cool. do you know if the app caches the map imagery? do the ride one more time

I save the map to the device so I can run in airplane mode.
Do that ride most every day being super close to my house.

Old school. Jansport fanny pack plenty of room for phone,readers and more. I forget I even have it on. Works great

Today's ride I left the display auto lock at one minute. Used almost no battery. The Alltrails app will work fine for my needs. Need to try it at a location I have never been to. The Grefay mount has started to rattle so it needs to be replaced. Phone seems to be handling the punishment so far.
