Help! What frame is this?
I need help. I've found this raleigh earthquake frame near me for sale, and it is very cheap. But i just cant find anything about it online. I've tried researching for days now. No luck. Since the forum doesnt allow me to post a photo, I really dont know what else to tell about it, it is yellow and blue, and has drop outs in the rear (i really dont know the english word for it) and a derailluer hanger. I suppose it is a road bike frame. Anyone seen one of these? If so, could you very kindly let me know what to know about it?
Thanks in advance.
Ps. the serial (if it helps) is D910880116

Does it say earthquake, or "Quake?" If it's Quake, is it a small bike, perhaps for children? There is a Raleigh model called that if you Google...

Do you mean 28" wheels? A 28" frame would be for a giant... What does it say on the side of the tires? What you're describing is likely 700c, which is ISO 622mm, closer to 29 inches and is the typical road bike size.

OP's pic.....

What about the headbadge on it you mentioned?
You have a 5 post limit as a noob. So watch that. Maybe edit a previous post and it may not count against you.

At any rate, this looks like a Raleigh made after Raleigh wasn't really Raleigh any more. Not that it's a bad bike brand. But it isn't known for the racing claims it had in the 70's. That was Raleigh of England.
Aluminum frame. Add a fork and if that weight is more than 7 pounds you will wind up with a bike that to me is fairly heavy. Probably around 25 pounds depending on how much you spend on the lightest weight components.
Decent forks can be expensive. More so than frames. So consider how much money you'll have to spend to add all the pieces parts to it before you think the price is a good deal.
Essentially what I'm saying is even if you get the frame for free, you'll probably have been able to buy a new bike of about the same for less than what making this into a bike will be.

Looks like an early 2000's bike. What country are you in?
