Storage options

Gang,

After last Saturday's NBD, I need to arrange for storing the bicycles in my garage in an efficient way. I have 4 + my wife's, so 5 total.

I'd like to store them on one wall, vertically. This is one idea:

Options? Suggestions?

Thanks - y'all are great!

Gary

Bikes: Waterford Paramount Touring, Raleigh Sports 3-speeds in M23 & L23, Schwinn Cimarron oddball build, Marin Palisades Trail dropbar conversion, Nishiki Cresta GT, Jeunet mixte

Plain old screw-in bike hooks are cheaper and probably more versatile. Those hooks on the right did hold bikes until recently when the bikes moved to hoists on the ceiling.

That's a pretty cool system. I went with Steady Racks, a bit more pricey, but I love the easy of use and ability to just roll the bike in. My wife complained about having to lift them up and hook them in. I have 6 racks. The rear wheel sits about 1/2 inch off the floor. For my road bikes, I like the racks specifically designed for bikes with fenders. The rack has a slightly smaller profile and less side to side motion with the narrow wheels.
