SRAM campy compatibility

SRAM campy compatibility
Has anyone tried to use the SRAM yaw front derailleur with any other shifter than sram.Just wondering if a campy escape ergo might work I believe it has no trims just up or down like friction.Curious but reluctant to buy and have it fail.

SRAM made some of the most hated front derailleurs on the planet so bad that even SRAM said yeah 1X is better because they with all their engineers and money couldn't solve the problem.
Not sure why you would want to mix SRAM and Campy. The only real good part from SRAM is their single speed brake levers and I guess S-group compatible chains and cassettes but beyond that I wouldn't want to run their drivetrain bits except maybe AXS and only because Di2 right now has been a bit tough to find and the new mountain stuff hasn't come out in Di2 not that I really want 12 speed as I am fine with 11 but I know that is less likely to happen.
If I were going to own Campagnolo stuff I would use the complete groupset or if using rim brakes I would go with eeBrakes but I would do that with Shimano as well. I wouldn't want to mix and match unless it were some sort of odd adaptive situation but I cannot think of one that would need to mix Campy and anything.

If you are asking about bike mechanics there is a specific sub forum for that. That is not to say that you won't get some good answers here, but you may get more in the bike mechanics sub forum. You can also ask the moderators to move this question. They are very good about helping you out with that. In fact, that would be the best solution. Asking the same question in multiple sub forums is not encouraged

just curious got a good deal on a sram red 22 crankset all other drive train components are campy record.Original crankset is campy record 34/50 and shifts like an old 1970 friction set up terrible. Just thought a new red yaw mech might be what the Dr.ordered unconventional but Maybe highly functional.

Bikes: depends what week it is..
I use Sram yaw on my Campy 10 spd shifters - Veloce utrashift 10spd which were same shape as the first gen 11 spd. Cranks are 10spd Campy compact. Shifting is fine but it takes a decent shove on the lever.

Thank you very much thought it might work ,nothing is worse than unpredictable front shifting especially in a race.Want to be loyal to campy but if it doesn’t work have to improvise.

Yes something is definitely wrong even the Campy techs are confused.Just for kicks I borrowed a matching set of 50/34 sram power glide rings ,shifts like a dream . Set it back with the campy rings and same old sluggish terrible shifting ,a real deal breaker in a local crit.

This experiment proved the derailleur is fine and you need new rings.
Follow that rabbit hole, not the derailleur that seems quite capable of “shifting like a dream”.
