I've been wrong before.
It's all about the kiss. It begins everything, it ends everything. It used to seal a contract. It shows humility and fragility and tenderness and strength (depending who you kiss and in front of whom!)

Things would go a lot smoother if there was just more kissing...But less @ss kissing, that just isn't productive in the end.

Here's is my favorite kiss...

Hey, I noticed that when I was in Ouray and Grand Junction CO...but that was generations ago. I'm sure they are all now thoroughly modern.

I'll have to come up with a good reason to visit again...that is if they let me across the border. I hear that they your customs officials are now demanding finger prints, retina scan, passport, urine samplel, anal probe and one kidney from every visiting Canadian. Return visits are tough!

I remember when all I needed was my driver's licence. Oh well, I could always go visit islenska in Iceland. I hear you only need to have a witty response and an appropriate saga when you are asked about Bjork when visiting.

getting here is easy, and, um, the residents are stunningly beautiful, but dinner and a movie will cost you an arm and a leg -- and the cycling SUCKS here.

but getting back on track...

and enough of the negative stuff about cycling -vs- relationships...what about those of you who have partners who dont cycle, but come with you to your races, encourage you to go out and ride, dont make you feel bad or guilty for putting in the miles, entertain your conversations about headsets and bottom brackets, and make you a big 'ol breakfast when you get home from sunday morning's group ride?

is there such a thing??

i dunno, you make it sound like you want to be catered to.

my boy listens when i dwell on the TdF, muse about tri race times, want new bike stuff, and such-like...he comes to most of my races, sometimes gets bored and volunteers for the karma and the free shirt...like i said, we rode together in a nice casual manner one weekend (because classy people don't show off)...we don't spend enough time together anyway, and he's only whiny about that in general, not in a specific bike-hatin' way. we both have our hobbies, and sometimes i have to spend a few hours playing video games for together time, but it's not like either of us is suffering for the other.

as i said, i simply dont' get enough time to ride due to EVerything, not due to one person. i know i don't have time for kids, so they're not suffering from my hobby either. if i'd chosen to have them, then was whinging about biking crap, that would be a whole 'nother issue.

If it weren't for my guy, I wouldn't be riding at all. He had the brilliant idea of commuting to work on a bike and I kept telling him what a great idea it was. I finally had the epiphany that I could do it as well, went right out and bought myself a bike. To show his support, he and his daughter did practice bike rides with me to prepare for the 12 mile roundtrip commute to work. He rode in with my on my very first time. Now, I've gotten so into it, I've gotten rid of my car and just ride my bike all the time everywhere which is easy to do in Berkeley. He rides into work with me (we work in the same building) once or twice a week. If he did this everyday, he'd have more energy to keep up with me in other aspects of our relationship.

My fiance is super supportive of my obsession. She never whines about me riding and she will sit through a whole story about my group ride and how I worked the other guys on this really tough hill or how I got dropped my some chick. She even watched the majority of the TdF with me. She rocks. The only time I can see her get a tad annoyed is when I talk about all the new stuff I want to buy for my cycling i.e. new pump, new jerseys, new tires, etc. She cringes a little at the thought of spending so much money on one hobby.
