If, as your screen name suggests, you're strength is running, you should do well in triathlon. Running is my worst event and I always lose so much time on the runs. In both the swim and bike segments, I'm just a middle-of-the-pack competitor, but my run times are generally pretty horrible. I consider myself lucky if I can maintain anything <15 minutes in any event longer than a sprint. Most people who can at least maintain middle-of-the-pack in the swim and ride, but are good runners, tend to finish well.
