Anyone good recognizing Marin models? I found 2 but not sure if they are good
I found 2 Marin bikes for about 85 euro's each which i'm thinking of buying and want to read reviews on them, but can't read the model names or find an exact match online.
Anyone recognize them? Are they good bikes?
Also the seller doesn't know the frame size. Do you think the black one is suitable for a woman who's 5ft 7?

White one is a Muirwoods, pretty sure they both are https://usedbicyclesvancouver.wordpr...dies-bike-279/. Type "Marin Muirwoods" into google and there is plenty of info. Price is not bad, about right for the white one, a little high for the grey. It will take some $$ to get running them properly again. Looks like they both need tires, might need cables, brake pads, lube, etc. Size seems about right but I am always thrown off by bikes on the ground, always best to test ride. good luck

Maybe go check them out and go in for your lowest offer you can do if you are confident in them being in decent enough shape and for the right price. Tires and brake pads would need to be replaced at the minimum but probably chain and freewheel (or cassette if it is nice enough) and cables and housing and they probably need an overhaul. Overall they are basic bikes from the 90s with a generally better than Hi-ten steel frame. Not bad but nothing to write home about but they are used and probably have sat for a while.

The top/black one appears to have 100/200GS parts from 90/91. Those parts were pretty horrible - plastic coated steel, and were hung on the cheapest bikes. Alivio replaced GS and is generally better than GS
