Titanium Frame Identification.. HELP!!

Hi All,

I'm wondering if someone could help me? A few years ago I purchased a beautiful Titanium bike from an older gent, who believed it was a replica of Alex Zulle's 1997 TdF bike. Well, I've been researching this frame like crazy and up to date, I can't match it to any manufacturer. The other annoying thing is that it's been de-stickered (de-decaled) and has no headtube badge. The only serial number I can find (and I've stripped it of parts down to its bare frame) is on the rear drop out (Drive side). All that's written/stamped is "A753". Does anyone happen to know which Titanium bike manufacturer used the serial number A753 (or similar)?? I have written to Look, as I assumed it was a KG292, but they have confirmed it's not one of theirs. As such, I'm at an utter loss.. One thing is for sure, it's been beautifully welded, and it weighs very little so whoever built it, clearly knows their stuff... If anyone can help I'd be eternally grateful.

Thank you

pics will be a big help when you have the requisite number of posts. Litespeed used to make Ti frames both for other manufacturers and as repainted one-offs for individual pros (iirc LA time-trialed an LS posing as a “Trek”). However, LS serial #s are stamped on the bottom of the BB shell

Take a look here:

This suggests that Zulle's 1997 bike was a "Look" built by a company called THT

Try contacting Litespeed to see if they ever put S/N on the drop out. If they built it, they have records of bikes they've made for other labels. At least that's what they told me a few years ago when I was investigating an unbadged titanium bike for sale. I can't remember the details, but they told me that they never did serial numbers in whatever format I was looking at, but did tell me if they'd made it - even for a different company - they'd have a record.
