it's not from the 50s. It was built for a RatRodBikes.com build-off in 2008. It's called the Get Lucky. It was entries with ergos like this that prompted the rule that a riding video had to be entered with the final pictures for judging.

Speaking as a sometimes alt bike person, the only pertinent question is: can it be ridden?
There's not really any distance requirement or comfort expectation. If rideable for any distance by anyone in the vicinity, it's rideable art. Otherwise, just art. |
