Yup, those triax p-k 7 bikes are indestructible and it was worth making a thread to point this out.**

typical newb behavior. They should triple the number of posts needed when posters do thid. We could then have many more inane posts to critique.

If that’s your plan, the least you could do is make fake posts that aren’t incomprehensible.

Dear Bike Forums,

I would like a refund on my three minutes reading this thread. If I can't get a refund, can I get credit applied to extend my life to use in reading future posts?

Thanks,
NV...

The excitement builds...

Will you be asking questions about doing upgrades that cost multiple times more than the bike did when it was new, or lecturing everyone on why your bike is superior to all others?

It's essentially a Next with different stickers, so no exciment of any kind, and every so often a guy walks into the shop and upgrades the bejesus out of a Denali, and since a head of lettuce and a pint of strawberries are gonna be like $20 each in the near future, who am I to argue....

other things fail before the frame has a chance to do so.

Per the link that big john posted above, some frames actually did fail before the other things.

Yet Another Reason to avoid Walmart/BigBoxStore bikes, eh?

the ones i avoid the most diligently are Kents... the WORST of everything, all wrapped up in a fun pastel paint job.
misaligned wheels purposely matched to misaligned frames, pre-worn out chains direct from the factory, cables that come pre-frayed, self-dismantling freewheels, DNP derailleurs. cable casings that kink when you look at them, seat covers that unstaple themselves, tires that wear out in less than 200 miles, grips that turn to glue if left in the sun, and those slimy inner tubes that patches don't adhere to... but the plastic basket has pretty flowers on it.

i've had a few Vilano and GMC road bikes come thru here too... not a lot better than the Kents... mostly bad dropout depths to correct, a severe lack of grease on bearings, poor setups, tires cracking in a year or less, and low end everything.

You must be referring to this statement, “…and expensive cracked bike frames.” When did Dynacraft start making Pinarello?

this one is not CF. What is the wheel size? So cool. $55 used on ebay.
