Please Recommend Carbon "Riser" Drop Bars

I officially have FAI in the left hip and after several rounds of PT, will be planning surgery in the next few months.
I've elevated all my seats, outiftted my flat bar bikes with 3-4" riser bars, but now require a rise on my drop bar bikes.
Can anyone recommend a carbon fiber drop bar with a rise, with possibly also shorter reach?
Thanks very much for your help!

Specialized have one they fit to their Roubaix.

If you haven’t already thought of it, shorter cranks might help with your hips too.

not carbon, but I installed the 70mm RS Top Shelf riser bar on my long haul bike. Very comfy.

Do your drop bar bikes have positive rise stems installed ?

stem has 17 degree rise plus the 70mm riser bar. Adds up to a nice change of pace.

+1 on Specialized Hover Bars. If you want a high rise drop bar I would also look at the Surly Truck Stop Bar which is not carbon but nice rise and also available in width. A higher rise stem might also help as well.

Bikes: Tallboy, Domane, old 90s MTB beater/grocery-getter, and a couple of franken-gravel experiments based on the Sirrus x 5.0.

Many stems are available with a 25 degree rise angle. That plus the 15mm rise of a carbon hover bar should get you a good 3" of total additional handlebar stack.

Yes, thanks, and they're also shorter.

The Specialized hover bar doesn’t give you much rise, think it’s only 15mm I have this on my Roubaix sl8 and not comparable to upright position you get with the 70mm RS.

Not cf, the only one I was interested in was the Soma Condor handlebar, 50mm rise with a drop of 100mm, 50 net drop. The chrome model is on sale, $70. The black is $125, iirc.

Redshift Top Shelf isn't carbon bit has 50 or 70mm of rise.

Just a supposition here but if you want to ride upright does a carbon bar really matter? Is it weight or vibration ?

How long did you ride with your saddles too low on your bikes?

Well, actually both weight and vibration.it would be for my very lightweight Specialized Roubaix Pro, and my car-crash neck injury...

Well, my bikes were well-fitted and optimal (saddle actually perfect for a normal rider- not too low). Only now with FAI, do I need to decrease the height of the knee during the pedal stroke.
Post surgery & rehab, I'm going right back to my regular setup!

Try a 45degree 70mm or 80mm stem.

you already have hover bars on your Roubaix pro ?

The 45degree 80mm stem is what I did to my Roubaix sl8 after a neck injury. Cheap fix to get upright and easy swap back.

Road bikes and hybrids, no matter what the frame size should all be set up with virtually the same saddle height from the BB or pedal when furthest away from the saddle. A person can ride comfortably with the saddle low if they aren't riding with the intent of having any speed. However long years of riding with a saddle too low sounds like something that might cause Femoroacetabular Impingement. But very possibly only because I don't really know much about it.

However the fact you mentioned that your saddles were raised, suggests that they were too low. If they were set up properly before, then why was it thought that they should be raised. A saddle at is proper height doesn't have as much leeway to go up.

But if they were low before, then probably having them at the correct height feels odd to you. And you simply need to get use to it.

Just wondering if anybody's used a stem riser to get the bars up.

I would never recommend that for carbon steerer tubes and would just stick with a slightly higher rise stem and be done with it or get a bike that is going to fit me better so I don't have to rise quite that much.
