Bo Bikes Bama

I have been wanting to do this for a while. Finally decided to do it this year. I got to meet Bo. It is supposed to rain much of the day Saturday. Good Times.

He was a tremendous athlete. Liked him playing the majors better than the nfl. Probably because I like baseball more than football.

What kind of ride does Bo choose?
Must be strong to holdup to his power!

Bo Bikes Bama is in the books. It was a great ride. Not hot at all. The start was pushed back 45 minutes to let the lightning clear out, but rain persisted through the whole ride. I rode the first 14 miles pretty hot. I was in sight of the leaders at the 14 mile rest stop. Then I decided to settle the bleep down.

He rides the first 14 miles on a sweet road e-bike. He loads it up, heads back to the start then takes the 20 mile group to their rest stop.

I was also there. My 6th time.

I bailed on the 60 mile ride and did the 20 mile ride instead.

I’m going to miss this event.

Well heck Bill, it would have been nice to say hello. The roads we rode were exceptional bicycling roads. A few of the hills were burn inducing. Did you eat any of the wings at the rest stop? They were legit!

Unfortunately, no. When I got to the SAG station I got a drink and got right back on my bike and finished the ride.

I’ve done the 60 mile ride a few times and there’s one hill nicknamed The Widowmaker. It’s a leg burner, for sure.

I have a friend who used to ride every day here in CA's elbow but ceased almost completely when he moved to Huntsville. I have teased him in past years he should go give this ride a shot but he never does. I think he's done
