What to do about replacement cleats?

I think my cleats are damaged some how and not allowing me to clip out at all. Im using nashbar pedals, would shimano cleats work on them? i dont want to wait for nashbar replacement cleats.

If the Nashbar pedals are SPD-compatible, Shimano cleats will work. Or Wellgo cleats. I believe Wellgo makes Nashbar's pedals.

I've had Ritchey, Shimano, and Wellgo SPD's, and the cleats from all of them have worked with all of the pedals.
