Got my commuter back!
My commuter bike has been in the shop for servicing over the past few days, and has been out-of-commission for the past two months. I've been meaning to fix it, and just never had the time -- a gigantic system migration at work, coupled with finally moving into my own apartment.
So, finally applied the "screw it" principal and paid the LBS to true a couple of wheels and fix the rear derailleur. What did I find out?
It's amazing how much I missed this gigantic POS.
Was able to ride my bike for almost all of my errand-running yesterday, instead of driving, and I can start commuting to work again instead of driving. That, and my new pad puts me at just a hair under 15mi from work, which can be done in 45 minutes pretty easily -- the same length of time as my former auto commute.
Yes, I know, nobody cares, but I'm happy anyway.
