You CAN… but it'll be sliding and slopping around in there, and the over-shoulder hose will have to be somehow attached to the shoulder strap with twist ties or zap straps. Kind of an odd deal, if you ask me. Which you did. Sorta.

I don't know but wouldn't you rather drink from a reservoir than out of a bladder?
