shiping a bike cross country
Hi, im currently in boston Ma, and I want to get my road bike over here from San Fransisco CA, does any one have any experience with shipping bikes? what is the best way to do it, all details/ personal experiences involving this are welcome, thanks

You might try contacting a local bike shop. I've never done it myself, but have heard of others taking them to a shop that carries boxes made for bikes. As I say, this is just something I recall reading in the vague recesses of my mind.

If you don't want to pack the bike yourself, Wheelworks does a good job - I used the Somerville store:
