biking at Disney World

I've heard there is a bike trail or path at Fort Wilderness in Disney World, but I can't find any detailed info. Anyone here ridden it or know anything about it? I especially want to know how long it is so I'll know how much time I can spend.

I can't give details but only some foggy memories. What's there isn't very long but then my minimum for a ride to be worthwhile is 15-20 miles. I seem to think they are only a mile or so long - they are geared toward those 4 person surrey bikes. The bike barn at Fort Wilderness phone is listed as 407-824-2742. There are bike trails and rentals at the various resorts but none of the trails seem to connect. They really ought to pursue this. I would love to be able to ride bikes from place to place without a car or getting on a bus but then the vacationer would realize how small the place really is. I have taken my bike there and gone out for early morning rides on the Disney roads. My advice is go early and be off the roads by 9am. The Disney buses are not friendly to bikers and there aren't any shoulders. The fog lines are right at the edge of the pavement. The best maps are available from the people selling the Disney Time shares and vacation rentals. You can go north from the area of Saratoga Springs/Lake Buena Vista/Downtown Disney and be in some rural areas very quickly.

You must not have searched too hard....I did this google search and turned up many websites with info.

According to this website, it's only about 3/4 mile long (even shorter than their jogging trail it seems).

This website says the same thing:

Thanks, Kayakado and King Termite. I appreciate the observations - guess I'll find out for myself next week.

And you're right, my Google skills need work. But the links you supplied led me to lots of detailed info...thanks!
