Hmm... I'll probably catch some flak for this one, but I don't really understand the appeal of Krispy Kreme donuts. There's one within 2 miles of my house -- might even be the only one in the Cleveland area (?), but I don't think they're that great. They're kinda greasy tasting, in my opinion. Besides... when they cover 'em in all that glaze, what is it that they are hiding? :confused:
No, I'd rather travel 10 miles out of my way for a good JF Glaze (formerly Jack Frost Donuts) donut. JF isn't a chain. Maybe that's part of the appeal. And they have these chocolate frosted donuts with a dollop of chocolate cream on top that are simply heavenly. :angel:
Presti's in Cleveland is supposed to have the best donuts around, but I haven't tried them yet. One of these days...
