I am sorry to say, I think some of you folks are a bit to sheltered from the latest fashions. Ya gota quit sleeping in your riding mtb or riding togs... 
I live in So CA. Although, I wouldn't wear the shoes in question, similiar types of shoes are seen as GQ and are very cosmo.
